This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website and when you use our browser extensions “Offer Radar for Galaxus sellers” and “Offer Radar Schweiz”. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) is authoritative.

2. Visiting this website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When the site is accessed, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, page accessed and browser type in order to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. For this purpose, Cloudflare may use servers outside Switzerland, including in the USA. Further information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We do not use cookies or any analytics or advertising services, and we do not load fonts or scripts from third-party providers.

3. Contact by email, phone or form

When you contact us, we process your details (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, shop address or shop link, product chosen and the content of your message) in order to answer your request and to handle a trial or subscription. We do not pass this data on to third parties unless this is necessary to provide our service or required by law. Our email service is operated by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Requests via the contact form are forwarded to our email address by the form service Web3Forms (web3forms.com); in the process, data may also be processed outside Switzerland.

4. Browser extension “Offer Radar for Galaxus sellers”

The extension retrieves publicly accessible offer data from galaxus.ch and stores the results (e.g. products, prices, names of the sellers offering them) exclusively locally in your browser. This data is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time by removing the extension.

In addition, the extension retrieves a settings file from offerradar.ch about twice a day (e.g. current technical details or notices). No data from the extension is transmitted in the process; for technical reasons, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes the IP address. When activating, the extension checks your activation code locally.

5. Browser extension “Offer Radar Schweiz”

Offer Radar Schweiz compares the prices of your own online shop with public offers from Swiss retailers (e.g. Galaxus, Brack, MediaMarkt, Migros, Hornbach, OBI, Manor).

  • Data processed: your shop’s public product catalogue (product name, brand, price, EAN/GTIN, product link), the public search results and product pages of the selected retailers, your settings (shop domain, selected retailers) and your activation code.
  • Storage location: All of this data is stored exclusively locally in your browser (chrome.storage). It is not transmitted to us or to third parties; there is no server that stores catalogues or results.
  • Requests: The extension accesses public pages of your shop and of the selected retailers directly from your browser. The privacy policies of these websites apply; no login credentials are used.
  • Licence check: The activation code is checked offline within the extension. In addition, the extension regularly loads the file offerradar.ch/config.json (list of deactivated codes). No data from the extension is transmitted in the process; for technical reasons, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes the IP address. We do not analyse it.
  • Deletion: When you remove the extension, Chrome deletes all locally stored data.

The extension does not use cookies or any analytics or advertising services, and does not sell any data. The use of the data is limited to the purpose described (price comparison for your shop).

6. Payments

Subscriptions are processed via the payment service Stripe. You enter your payment details (e.g. card details) directly with Stripe; we do not receive them. From Stripe we receive your name, email address, amount, date and the shop you specified (shop address or shop link), in order to assign your subscription and send you the activation code. Stripe may also process data outside Switzerland. Further information: stripe.com/ch/privacy.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.

8. Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you, and the right to have it corrected and deleted. To do so, please contact info@offerradar.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Changes

We may amend this Privacy Policy. The version currently published on this website applies.
